And we have a winner! How thrilled does your daughter look? So cool.

Thank you for the sewing inspo. It’s hard to find children’s designs that walk a line between not too childish and not too adult, not too frilly and not too plain. This sleeve design is a brilliant, simple update. I’m going to buy this pattern. I love the version you made, and the pattern could go flouncier or simpler if desired.

For doll clothes mojo I hope everybody’s seen Handmade by Carolyn’s pattern and blog. http://handmadebycarolyn.com.au/2018/11/the-kimberley-doll-pattern.html

Happy New Year from a longtime reader, first time commenter.

Thanks so much Judy! I’m so happy with how this dress turned out- and how much Ami loves it! It’s a great pattern. Happy New Year to you too! I’m off to check out that link!

I actually used to make art dolls myself before I started sewing clothes (and had kids).
