Organic White Denim Morgan Jeans

Here’s my latest make for my work wardrobe, a pair of organic white denim Morgan jeans. My most professional looking pair of jeans yet!  I just love the fit and finish! Plus it’s my second completed project for my #2017MakeNine!  I’m working on projects #3 and #4: the Vogue shorts and Odgen Cami below.  Planning out my makes for this Instagram challenge is such great motivation! P.S.-I didn’t make the shirt⇑ in these pics-it’s RTW from my work. I wanted a simple pair of jeans that would be work appropriate.  I was inspired by a menswear jean we carry at Club Monaco.  Super simple straight leg with […]

Happy New Year Everyone!  I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the winter break with the kiddos and the long weekend with my husband. The weather has been beautiful so we spent quite a few days beachside-perfect way to start out the year! Here’s my last TOP 5: My Reflections + Goals plus my #2017MakeNine! Refashioned PJ’s for Ami: McCall’s M5965

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet.  Mostly sweet….and that’s thanks to all the cute pics of Ami in her Refashioned PJ’s using McCall’s M5965!  Ami is all about comfy clothes in bright pinks and purples so I’ve been keeping my eye out while at the local thrift shops for pieces I can remake for her. My last trip turned up some great finds.  Lots of summer maxi’s in bright prints! Amelie just had a big growth spurt (she’s 5 1/2) and is slowly outgrowing all the hand-me-downs from her cousin. I used McCall’s M5965 (4-6 Children’s) for all these looks.  I knew I […]

Pacific Grove V Neck Dress M6658

This dress is all about the fabric! I fell in love with this Pacific Grove landscape print, a gorgeous knit from Marcy Tilton , and bought up a few panels.  After I got this in the early spring I couldn’t make up my mind on what to use it for.  I finally decided I needed a really simple silhouette to really show it off. For my silhouette I went with a simple tee shirt dress.  I pulled McCalls M6658  out from my stash and got to work.  I wanted a nice V Neck and used View B as my base.  This was a breeze to alter.  I placed […]

Handmade Christmas-Family Sewing

I may have gone a little overboard with Christmas present sewing this year-but boy was it fun!  I worked on my handmade Christmas gifts for my family for a good month and made:  4 Lounge Pants, 12 Stowe bags, and 3 Jackets!  Plus I posted last week everything I made for my kids. My mom gave me my Christmas gift early to help out: a wonderful Coverstitch Machine!  It sure helped speed up those last projects.  I received the Brother 2340CV Pacesetter and wow-I love it!  It took a little getting used too but after some trial and error its super easy to use.  The only […]
