My sister treated me to a mini photo shoot (with her phone camera) for this beautiful Graphic 60’s Inspired Floral Rayon Caftan I made just for our trip to Greece in September. It’s the simplest little pattern perfect to display this amazing print! This fabric is just gorgeous, silky and almost sheer, the graphic print reminds me of a dress I had in collage that I called my Fondue Dress. I really need to make a copy of that fantastic vintage dress from the 70’s. To do!

I wore this quite a bit at our beach house on Pefki, Aquavisionaire. Super comfy and a bit of added modesty so I could wear my bikinis all day long. I brought both my Faye bikinis with me but didn’t get many pics of them- I was too busy having fun! I also have a rashguard that matched the ditsy floral bikini pictured here.

I bought the floral fabric quite some time ago- had to have it- but wasn’t sure what to make. I bought the last bit of yardage that was on sale so I only had a yard and a half to work with. I searched my pattern stash for something simple that would show off the print and stumbled across this tunic/caftan in the Summer Issue of Burda Magazine. Simple and perfect. I lined the neck opening with a bit of sheer press cloth I had extra fabric of and used baby hems on my serger for finishing. I left off the pockets, which I hate to do, to use all the yardage I had. I am going to make another in another gorgeous print I have in my stash. I wore this so much on our trip.

I was a tester for the pattern. These are my second and third makes of the swimsuit.
Of course, the view from our beach rental might be even better than this Caftan! I just ordered prints to make up a photo album for our trip- 524 images! And that’s not even including the professional Photo Shoot my sister arranged while we were there! I’ve just uploaded the remainder of my travel wardrobe pics and taken a more pics to show off the clothing so more travel outfits are on the way to the blog. Back soon with more of my travel wardrobe and more new outfits soon. I just finished a new ponte knit dress in teal for the Holidays and am working on some beautiful canvas aprons for Thanksgiving for myself and my daughter- the future chef! Back soon with more travel makes! Happy Sewing.
