I’ve got a super simple make to share with you today-my Bias Tank Refashion. So easy to alter but wow-what a difference. It’s made this unworn dress into one of my favorite basic pieces in my wardrobe. I wear it ALL the time!

BEFORE: Mini Stripe Voile Bias Dress

AFTER: Voile Bias tank

As you can see this dress was just too boxy (I must have cut it too wide) and the light color was not flattering in that length. But cut to a top it’s perfect! Really comfy too-the voile is lightweight and oh so soft. The bias cut with the selvedge edging detail makes this simple tank really stand out.
Not much new here construction wise. I cut off the excess length and hemmed. The excess was used in my Linen Swing Top as well. I did a simple hem with a decorative stitch and called it a day. You can read about how I made the original dresses here.
I really need more of these tops! On my “TO DO” list for Spring!
For now it’s back to my Christmas sewing. I’m super excited to get back to it since I just received an early Christmas gift from my parents! A new Cover-stitch machine!!!! My mom told me this weekend to hold off on my sewing for a bit since she had a surprise for me coming in the mail. It came yesterday when my we were out at the Ballet. (Lady of the Camillas – just beautiful!) I can’t wait to try it out! Thanks Mom!!!
