I’ve got a very simple make to share with you today. A darted tank in a lovely blush linen, the Shape Shape Sleeveless Blouse. This is my second go at this pattern. I don’t know why it took me so long to make another one. I wear the original white linen version constantly. You can see that version here. It’s one of my first makes that I blogged about back in 2014! I removed the scarf on my first one within a few months-it was annoying to wear-so this version I left it of entirely. Worn here with my favorite cream culottes.
This is made in a pale blush pink linen remnant from my stash and some lovely beige buttons I repurposed from my Vintage Vogue coral dress that didn’t work out. I love the button placket up the side. Its an elegant touch to a very simple pattern. I love the placement of the dart at bust and back for shaping as they are so visually appealing. I’m a sucker for a nice dart!

When I went back to review the earlier post I realized how much I love the style of some of my earlier photos. I’m going to have to try to get back to that sense of exploration I had when I first started blogging. I think I took alot more risks in trying new shots back then. Plus I wasn’t so focused on showing of the clothes as taking interesting photos.
Back soon with my summer sewing plans. I’ve been busily working on my sketches. I have a decent stash to sew through over the summer what with refashions I’ve been saving, fabric for review, and some swim fabric on its way. Happy Sewing!
