Fall 2020 Wardrobe Plans

I’m back with my wardrobe sewing plans for the fall! We’re a week in and the humidity and temps have dropped ever so slightly here in Florida. I cleaned up my sewing space and refreshed my closet to get ready. This year my plans are very loose. I have a fully handmade wardrobe at this point and really don’t have any gaps. My main focus will be slowly …

Summer is in full swing here in South Florida, variating between high heat or some nice downpours. Time to put away my fall/winter projects and switch gears.  I’ve been working on my summer sewing plans for a bit now, sketching and making up mood boards.  Summer calls for light, breezy and easy makes. I have a pretty decent wardrobe at this point so only a few pieces will …

Summer Silk Top McCall’s 6960

This summer silk top was made at the very end of last summer and somehow missed my blog lineup.  Now that the weather has warmed up It’s back in rotation.  I picked up this beautiful beige and cream abstract silk print locally at Cynthia’s Fine fabrics in Tamarac.  It’s a silk blend with a bit of lycra added which makes it so wearable-very little wrinkling and easily washable.  …
