Lounge Tees

I love making beautiful clothes, but sometimes what you really need are just super simple basics. These two tees are are perfect lounge tees but are also nice enough to be worn to work. Both are based off a ready to wear T-shirt I had ages ago and have been adapted over time. You can see my earlier version I made way back in 2017 for our family …

White Mandy Tee and Seaglass Tulip Pant

This look is all about the pants! I’ve been dreaming about creating a tulip shaped draped pant that would look like a wrap but is actually seamed in place for easy wear. I drafted out the design on paper and then draped it to get the fit exactly how I was envisioning it. The fabric, in this gorgeous seaglass color, is the star of the show. It has …

Refashioned Dress Shirt One Seam Blouse

I made this blouse last year, took pictures, and then completely forgot to share it! This is my first draft of a new pattern, my one seam blouse, I drafted up with my sloper. I was playing around making a top with only one seam cut on the fold at center back. Below you’ll see a graphic which shows how I drafted this design. Easy to recreate if …

Breton Stripe Knit Wrap Jacket

I love a good Breton stripe and this one is a gorgeous shade of delft blue and super cozy. I was originally planning on making this into a tee but I love loops on the wrong side of the fabric and wanted to be able to show them off. I used Suzy Furrer’s Craftsy Class – Designing Your Wardrobe- Drafting Tops- to make this up. It’s the last …

Haslam 1940’s Pajamas with Embroidered Patch Pockets

I’m back today with a super fun make- these 1940’s Haslam PJ’s with Embroidered Patch Pockets! These are a very wearable muslin made up in some French Twill I naturally dyed with Sappanwood Sawdust. I wanted to make a practice set before sewing up my fancy pj’s in a blue gingham check fabric. I figured while I was at it I might as well make them a bit extra and added my own embroidery pattern with these patch pockets from my Beginner Embroidery Pockets Collection.

Yarn Dyed Blue, Ivory and Black Striped Pants

Introducing my new favorite pants! These are my self drafted wide leg pants with curve pockets in a super soft yarn dyed blue, ivory and cream deadstock fabric from Blackbird Fabrics.

Cream Rib Knit 3/4 Sleeve Top

Just a quick little post today. A very simple but immensely wearable 3/4 sleeve cream rib knit tee. This top features a slightly wider 3/4 sleeve and a nice deep hem and is self drafted. A quick sew mainly on the serger with cover stitched hems and a very narrow ribbed neckband. I always like a nice quick sew inbetween more complicated makes for a breather. I’ve been …
