Bias Tank Refashion

I’ve got a super simple make to share with you today-my Bias Tank Refashion. So easy to alter but wow-what a difference.  It’s made this unworn dress into one of my favorite basic pieces in my wardrobe. I wear it ALL the time! Linen Swing Top

I’m back today with this simple Linen Swing Top made using my Sloper and refashioned from two less than successful makes. The grey stripe voile (given to me by Organic Cottons Plus for review when I made it originally) is from my Bias Layer Dress.  The fit of the grey dress was a bit off in comparison to my blue version.  The dress was just too boxy and the shorter length looked dull. I remade it into another …

Baby Clothes Memory Quilt and PJ’s for Ami

Oh, the memories!  This was the most fun sewing I’ve had in some time.  Each piece of Ami’s baby quilt is full of joy!  From her Born at Home Onesie (my little HBAC baby!!!) to my own baby dresses this baby quilt reminds me of my sweet little girl’s babyhood!  Plus I had just enough yardage to make Ami matching PJ pants and a headband!  So adorable! I’ve been saving up …

Holly Pants

I’m back this week with another Holly Adaptation!  Last week I showed you my refashioned Holly Hawthorn Dress and here are the pants.  These were a quick refashion after separating my jumpsuit.  I just had to add a new waistband (included in the pattern) and redo the side invisible zip.  Easy peasy.  I’m wearing them here with one of my favorite me made tops, Anne Klein V1382 modified from a dress …

Refashioned Tee Shorts

I probably sew for my extended family just once a year or so, usually for Christmas gifts.  But as soon as my younger brother Adrian saw Nigel’s RHCP shorts he wanted some of his own.  He went out the very next day to pick up some Tee’s from Goodwill for me to refashion.  I whipped these up super fast since he was only in town for a week, so he could take them …

Kids Clothes Week-Summer 2015

Kids Clothes Week just finished and I’m thrilled with all the sewing I’ve done for my kiddos!  I opted to condense my sewing time this go around as I’ve had family in town all week.  My little brother is visiting from NYC and my niece came from Texas.  We’ve had an amazing week visiting with them!  Lots of time swimming at the pool, hanging out at my Mom’s.  We rented a boat …

Meet Georgina-New to Me, IPM

I wanted to enter The Monthly Stitch’s, Indie Pattern Month Contests again this year but I’ve been on  a strict no fabric purchases budget this month.  Luckily my mom is always saving her cast off clothing for me and gifted me this nightgown she no longer wears.  The fabric was so pretty- I love the turquoise! I’ve had my eye on trying out a République du Chiffon pattern for …
