Take a look at what I’ve been wearing so far for Me Made May 2016. This year is a bit trickier for me as I need to plan most of my looks in advance. We’re still not moved completely over to the other coast (a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale). I’m at my parent’s home with the kids in Estero Sunday night through Friday afternoon for Nigel’s school and back in Plantation to spend time with my husband Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. Lots of back and forth travel requires much more forethought. I can’t wait for June when we’ll be home for good!
Though I wear handmade most days and have very few RTW clothes I still look forward to MMM each year. It helps to review what I’ve made, see what needs mending, and find new ways to mix my clothes. I love it for keeping a visual diary of what I wore most.
Lemon Drop Dress and Self Drafted Leggings
Lady Skater Dress Kitschy Coo and Self Drafted Leggings
Friday’s Theme Yellow, a color I rarely ever wear. These Marcy Tilton V8499 Pants are the only vaguely yellow item in my summer wardrobe. Worn here with a self drafted green tank.
Laurel Dress from Colette Patterns (un-blogged which I need to remedy) and Embroidered Jeans at Plantation Woods Park near our new home. This dress was one of my very first makes that I refashioned out of my mom’s handmade prom dress.
DAY 8 Mother’s Day!
Hawthorn Holly Dress. It’s a mashup of Colette’s Hawthorn Skirt and By Hand London’s Holly bodice.
My very favorite dress!
Hope you’re enjoying Me Made May as much as I am! You can follow what I’m wearing on the group boards at Pinterest and Flickr and on my Facebook page. You can also view past MMM’s on my Wardrobe Planning page here. Happy Sewing!
