This week saw me wearing tons of me mades since we were on vacation up in Venice Beach, FL. It’s our favorite place to visit that’s still close to home. We love the small town feel, walking downtown, great restaurants, and climbing the rocks with the kids at the Jetty! Vic loves to go diving off the beach, they’re famous for their shark teeth, though we rarely bother searching for them. The surf was a bit rough with the wind this weekend and the temps weren’t quite as warm as I’d like, but it was a wonderfully relaxing vacation-just what I needed. And we’re now in the countdown to end of school with just 2 days to go! My son has his preschool graduation this Saturday. I just whipped up a new dress for the occasion that I’ll be blogging about for The Monthly Stitch’s Indie Pattern Month Dresses contest next week! Be sure to check back and vote next week:) I was super excited to wear all of my favorite makes on our trip- plus all my new swim makes that I’ll be blogging about soon. I’ve been sewing up a storm lately.
So here’s what I wore:
Isn’t this tree gorgeous- at Cambier Park!
Days 24 Saturday- On vacation in Venice Beach(FL)(beach and town looks): New swim skirt, 2 piece swim suit/matching rashguard(all unblogged), Grainline tank + Eddie Bauer white shorts.
Day 28 Wednesday- I didn’t make the dress-it’s Boden- but I did the shibori indigo dye.
I’m really loving Me Made May. It’s definitely made me more aware of what I make and this month has really encouraged me to mix and match my looks. What’s awesome is that I’ve had so few repeats- I really have a nicely functional wardrobe going now. Only 4 more days to go!
