I’m really loving wearing more of my makes on a regular basis! Hoping to soon have a closet full of all handmade clothes. Here’s what I wore this past week:
Day 8 Thursday – Anne Klein V1382 Top with my fav Love Tree white linen pants. Out with Ami in the morning at Cambier Park.
Day 9 Friday- Blue Theme! I’m wearing a my Grainline tank and M6707 Linen Capri’s and Ami is in her girl’s Skater dress. Morning at the waterfront park- Cocohatchee playground off Vanderbilt- with Amelie while Nigel was at school.
Day 10 Saturday – Made this up in the morning and wore it out to Miromar Outlets with the Family. Lady Skater Dress in Ikat plus my often worn new Anthropologie sandals! This fabric was part of my early Mother’s Day gift-love it!
Day 11 Sunday- Happy Mother’s Day! Wearing my favorite outfit- me made skirt is my naturally dyed flared wave skirt and the purple top is Michael Stars and my Murano Glass Necklace I got while traveling in Italy during my study abroad days. Spent a wonderful day visiting both mom’s- my husbands mother & my mother (pictured below), both Diane’s. :) I always feel like we’re so lucky that both families get along so well, it seems so rare.
Day 12 Monday- Going for comfort at the park, Max Hesse, in my new (unblogged) organic double gauze burda pants and my grainline tank. The pants were dyed in alkanet but I’m planning on over dyeing them soon.
Day 13 Tuesday- Clothing repeat- I needed to get some better pics of my Lady Skater Ikat Dress for my blog post on Tuesday. Our usual Tuesday early morning ritual of a trip to the Naples Botanical Gardens.
Day 14 Wednesday – Colette Laurel Top (one of my earliest makes and unblogged) & M6707 Navy Linen Capri’s plus new orchid earrings from the Naples Botanical Gardens. Day at Home after walking Nigel to school. Lots of laundry and our day for organic veggie home delivery.
Hope everyone else is enjoying Me Made May as much as I am! I’m starting to get excited, only one week left until our family vacation! Planning out my me-made vacation packing and finishing up some last-minute sewing projects. We’re heading up to Venice Beach (FL) for a few days of beach fun (my husband will be doing some diving) for Memorial Day Weekend. It’s our favorite place to visit- I keep trying to convince my husband we should move there:) And only one more week after that until Nigel is done with school for the year! Looking forward to summer days with both kids!
