This week I shopped my closet and came up with a mini capsule collection for Spring using the 4,3,2,1 method I mentioned last week in my blog post and video. You can go back and read more about my Spring Mini Capsule here. I’m sharing all the images of my pieces, links to the original blog posts plus fabric and pattern sources. I only added one newish make- a boxy blush tee- everything else has been a part of my handmade wardrobe for a bit longer. I went with two tee shirts, one fitted, one boxy, a tank top and a cropped bodice that I repurposed from upholstery fabric. Next I chose two lengths of pants, a denim culotte and a pink linen trouser plus a midi skirt in a ponte knit. For my layering piece I went with a navy ponte cardigan and an oversized vintage dress shirt in cream. My wildcard choice- one of my favorite dresses, my Zinnia print hemp cotton muslin wrap dress with a beautiful tulip hem.
To complete these looks I chose two pairs of shoes, a pink and brown sandal from Keen and a white sneaker- also from Keen. Two leather belts in brown and black and some simple gold earrings all from Anthropologie. I added in a bag made in a waxed canvas I made a few years ago using a Nancy Zieman pattern.

Zoey Tank Top by True Bias Size 8
Pecan Ponte Knit from The Sewing Workshop
Zoey Blog Post- review & details The tank is the Zoey by True Bias in the leftover pecan ponte from my Burda 116 Midi Skirt. Bonus- I can wear the two pieces together to look like a dress! This was my first go at the pattern so it’s not perfect. I left off the v-shaped neck and left it as is since this fabric was fussy. The shape and color is just perfect. I really didn’t think this color worked for me but after I worked on my colors and tried it on I was shocked how good it looks!
Pieced Embroidered Fiona Crop Tank- Fiona Sundress by Closet Core Patterns
Fiona Blog Post- review & details What do you do when all you have is a square of beautifully embroidered linen? Piece it into a gorgeous little crop top! I was gifted with a selection of upholstery samples at our last ASG annual meeting and have been holding on/ hoarding them until I could find the perfect use. The Fiona dress seemed like a great match as the bodice is made of quite a few small pieces since it has princess seams. A little cropped bodice is perfect for summer.

NYC Girl’s Trip- Pink Linen Pants Blog Post Here’s my fav look for this part of our trip. This was our second day in NYC. I’m wearing my blush pink Linen Pants (Lady McElroy Cruise washed linen) with a brown leather belt and a rib knit tee in shades of pink, cream and dusty blue. Both fabrics from Stonemountain & Daughter. My sister gave me a little “mini” photo shoot using my phone when I told her I was taking pics of all my outfits. The pants are self drafted- as is the tee. You can see these on my YouTube channel. I have been talking about the whole process from planning to packing. You can follow along- just check out my NYC Palm Springs Vacation Playlist. I’ll have a new video coming out later today that will be added to the playlist and linked here when it releases.
Burda Skirt 116
Pecan Ponte Knit from The Sewing Workshop
Pecan Midi Skirt Blog Post I’m back today with the first make from my Spring Wardrobe Plans! I took these pics on our beach vacay up in Cocoa Beach last weekend and wore this look again yesterday for the first day of Me Made May! It’s so comfy and chic and I just love the way the fabric drapes in this skirt!

Vintage Vogue Shirt 8447
Blog Post of Blue Chambray V8447 As soon as I put this on my husband asked if I was going to watch some Friends reruns! This shirt is very 90’s and was such fun to make. I’ve been on a blouse kick lately trying to round out my handmade wardrobe. One thing I’m sorely missing is dress shirts. I feel like I’m a much better seamstress now so time to branch out a bit.

Zinnia Hemp Cotton Muslin Fabric from Organic Cottons Plus
Zinnia Dress V9251 Blog Post. I just can’t resist a good blue and white print! This Zinnia Hemp/Cotton Muslin is beautiful! I fell in love with the indigo block print and decided to pair it with one of my new patterns in my ever-growing stash, Very Easy Vogue 9251. The simple lines of this woven wrap dress combined with a statement sleeve and the curved front hem is so romantic.
