Hemp Silk Swing Tank + Slow Fashion October:Worn

I  just made a beautiful self drafted swing tank out of my dyed and undyed hemp silk remnants. Lots of sewing and knitting going on here! The top uses all my leftover hemp silk remnants sewn together on the bias (I had triangular shaped pieces to work with).  I then drafted this tank with my bodice sloper using this Chris …

Loved: Slow Fashion October

It’s been such a nice breather working on my hand-dyed knitted sweater for Slow Fashion October. Working on all the patterns cables takes a bit of concentration but it’s so relaxing.  Almost meditative. My brother just took up knitting too, so I’ve been helping him out a bit via Skype. He just made an awesome shark scarf for one of his nephews and …

Slow Fashion October

It’s October! We’ve already gotten some slightly cooler breezy weather here!  So many great things are going on this month! My son turns 7 tomorrow, I’m planning all our costume sewing for Halloween (my very favorite holiday!) and it’s the start of Slow Fashion October!  I’m a huge proponent of Slow Fashion so I was psyched to find …

Simple Tank Slip

Just a quick little post today.  I made this simple tank slip up a few weeks ago to wear with my White Holly Hawthorn Dress.  It’s already gotten so much more use then I thought it would. It’s perfect under all my light colored dresses or paired with a skirt. I’m wearing it here with my Shape Shape Wrap …

Refashioned Denim Dress

I just love how this denim dress turned out!  Sadly I haven’t gotten to wear this except for taking the pictures as it’s still way too hot to wear denim here in Florida!  But once winter comes this will be my go to dress.  You can never have too many shift dresses! I’ve made this pattern, Anne Klein for Vogue …

Mommy + Me Jalie Yoga Pants

Hope you’re all relaxing and enjoying this Labor Day Weekend with friends and family!  Just a quick post today so I can get back to hanging with the kids! I made these mommy and me Jalie yoga pants for Ami and myself a few weeks ago and they’re been getting a ton of wear.  Super comfy …
