I just published my first Sew Along video so I thought I’d share all the details plus some lovely pictures here on the blog!
In the video I’m sewing up the cropped cardigan View A from Vogue 1914, an Easy pattern released in Fall 2022.

View A is a Slim fit V-neck cardigan that has a 3 button front, and neckline facings. It has a lovely gathered bust detail in a cropped length that hits just at the natural waist. It comes in two size ranges XS-M as well as L-XXL. I cut my pattern in a straight size Medium which is a 12-14 (my usual size in Vogue).

If you’d like to sew with me I will be making all three views of the pattern in a coordinating knit. This first video is a bit long as the pattern has quite a few steps. I’m planning on filming condensed construction videos of the next two pieces. I’m using an Organic Cotton + Tencel Stretch Knit Jersey in Deep Teal from Core Fabrics.

This is Vogue 1914 a Teal Cropped Cardigan- View A and I just love how it turned out! The color is amazing and it works so well mixing with the pieces already in my closet. I fell in love with this pattern and knew it would work perfectly to make some relaxed yoga wear and coverups. I wanted a top/coordinating look to wear when I’m doing yoga with pieces I could put on for dog walks in the morning so I’m not just in a tank and leggings. I can’t wait to finish the matching pants and then make the Asymmetrical Top!
I’m wearing it here with a new make, a Burda Skirt 106. I’ll be blogging about it a bit more as I made two versions already! It’s a great easy to sew knit pattern with a simple elastic waistband and I just love the shape and length. This one is in a Pecan Ponte knit and is part of my Spring Wardrobe Plans. You can go back to that post to see the fabric and pattern details.
I’ll be bringing this look on our little long weekend getaway next week to Cocoa Beach with my whole family. I’ll be sharing a Pack with Me video before I leave and then filming what I’m wearing while I’m at the beach. I can’t wait!

If you followed along with my video you’l know I’ve been in the process of redoing my closet the past week. It’s finally finished and I just love my new closet. I repainted a lovely pale grey blue and added some new basic closet furniture I ordered from Wayfair in black and a rustic brown wood.
My husbands side of the closet collapsed and I knew it was time for a refresh!
I love how it turned out and now it’s just a matter of finishing up the cleaning from taking everything out and reorganizing.
