Now that I’ve finished up my college courses I’m excited to get back into my sewing room! I’ve organized my sewing plans into phases to make the process manageable and enjoyable. The first batch of projects includes a mix of tees, a ruffled mint dot wrap skirt, a seersucker stripe dress, oversized shirts, and a Free People-inspired set in stonewashed ramie.

This season, I’m approaching my wardrobe with a softer, more romantic palette and a practical but flexible sewing timeline. I want to create a small capsule of handmade pieces that reflect both my personal style and my current lifestyle. My focus is on wearable pieces in natural, breathable fabrics that can carry me from early spring through summer. Many of these pieces are inspired by our upcoming vacation to Mackinac Island in late July. I’ll be sharing more about that soon!

In my recent YouTube video, I walk you through my planning process for my Spring 2025 handmade wardrobe. Watch the full video here. Stay tuned for weekly updates here and on my YouTube channel where I’ll be sharing progress check ins, pattern selection and sewing construction tips, and styling ideas as each piece is constructed.

I’m starting off by organizing my plans into phases. First, I finalize my fabric and pattern pairings using a mood board and my color palette. Then I prep each project set: wash and press the fabric, trace or cut the pattern, and batch cut multiple projects. This gives me the flexibility to sew when I have time and keep things stress-free and fun.
The idea is to create a cohesive wardrobe that mixes and matches easily, and that feels like me when I put it on. I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes updates each week, and once pieces are finished, I’ll share sewing and styling ideas here on the blog. Happy Sewing!
