Natural Dyeing: Lac

This past weekend the weather was perfect, sunny and breezy, so I broke out the dye pot and did some fun natural dyeing! I had a bunch of pieces waiting for the dye pot that I had planned on dyeing back over the winter holidays. Unfortunately that all got put on hold with my injury.

Avocado Dyed Marcy Tilton Pants

  These are my new favorite pants!  I love the wide leg silhouette that tapers with two lower leg pleats, the fitted and darted waist in front with an elastic band in back (so comfy!) and all the seaming details.  Plus giant pockets!  And the hemp is so light and soft after washing and drying

Indigo Dyed Jeans- Finally Completed!

I’ve been working on these jeans for about a month, so I’m really excited to have them finally completed, especially before the warm weather hits Florida!  I was really getting concerned that I wouldn’t have a chance to wear them this season.  Plus they’re just in time for February’s Smarty Pants Challenge over at The Monthly

Indigo Dyeing- My results!

Here’s a quick update on the results of my indigo dye bath from the other day.  You can view the earlier post here.  I love my color results!  The blues are really clear and rich and a shade I really like.  The whole process was quite easy and cleaned up pretty quickly with no stains!
