Blush Silk Tank Refashion

I can’t believe I haven’t shared this refashion yet! I made this tank well over a year ago and then forgot about it completely. I don’t think I even wore it until now. Hard to believe this was once a double layer silk tank and a pair of capri pants. Both were on clearance at Club Monaco (where I used to work). I scooped up the way too …

Refashioned Denim Dress

I just love how this denim dress turned out!  Sadly I haven’t gotten to wear this except for taking the pictures as it’s still way too hot to wear denim here in Florida!  But once winter comes this will be my go to dress.  You can never have too many shift dresses! I’ve made this pattern, Anne Klein for Vogue Patterns V1382, as a top a few times now, here and here, but …

Organic Denim Jeans + Embroidery

I was never that into wearing jeans until I learned how to sew my own perfectly fitted pair.  These jeans are just my style with the embroidered pockets and colorful topstitching.   I love the fit and silhouette.  I’m not a skinny jeans girl.  I don’t think that silhouette makes me look as proportional as a nice straight leg that skims the hip.  This organic denim is so comfortable too, with just …

Linen and Chiffon Floral Blouse

Here’s my first finished make from V1382 Anne Klein dress as a blouse…and March’s Miss Bossy Patterns winner!  This pattern wasn’t my first choice but I’m really loving the results.  I’ve already made three versions that I’ll be posting about soon! For this version I cut my pattern in a straight size 12, down 1 size from my measurements which I usually do for Big 4 Pattern measurements …

March’s Winner! Miss Bossy Patterns

The votes were really close right up to the end but V1382, the Anne Klein Dress as a top won – by just 3 votes!  Thanks so much to everyone who voted!  If you haven’t yet be sure to head on over to The Monthly Stitch, they’re challenges are so great at keeping me motivated to sew!  I’m sure I’ll be making up the other two as well, …

Come on over and Vote- Miss Bossy Patterns!

This month I’m working on my jeans for the February pants challenge over at The Monthly Stitch, but I’m already gearing up for March’s challenge- Miss Bossy Patterns!  The March Challenge lets you vote on what I should make next out of my existing pattern stash that I haven’t made up before.  I have quite a few patterns (mostly dresses) I haven’t tried yet so the trick was …
