Fall/Winter Wardrobe Planning 2021

I love planning out my wardrobe makes for the season! I’m extra excited for fall sewing now that the temps have dropped a bit and I have so much fabric in my stash from last year. With my ankle fracture I was out of commission for quite a few months and never got to use all the beautiful wintery fabrics I got for Christmas last year. I can’t …

Spring Wardrobe Planning 2020

The weather is quickly warming up here in Florida. Time to switch gears and start to focus on spring. My winter clothes have been packed away and spring cleaning is all done. I’ve been working on sketches and mood boards for the last few weeks to begin fleshing out what I want to make this spring and summer. Of course I won’t make everything I’ve sketched out, but …

Summer Sewing Plans 2018

Summer is in full swing here in South Florida, variating between high heat or some nice downpours. Time to put away my fall/winter projects and switch gears.  I’ve been working on my summer sewing plans for a bit now, sketching and making up mood boards.  Summer calls for light, breezy and easy makes. My handmade wardrobe was so eclectic/hippy/artsy momma. Nothing was really work appropriate!  I’m starting from scratch here. My visual merchandising position at Club Monaco calls for an elevated casual look. Neutral tones and simple silhouettes with feminine details.  It …

Slow Fashion October + Work Wardrobe Planning

I can’t even begin to tell you how thrilled I am to be back working after 8 yrs. as a Stay at Home Mom…I forgot how much I loved it!   I’m working part time at Club Monaco as a Visual/Stock Associate. Before I had kids I was a Visual Merchandising Manager so this is a great way to ease back into the workforce.  The last two weeks have been …

Fall Wardrobe Sewing Plans

This summer has just flown by! My oldest starts school in just two weeks.  As my summer sewing winds down it’s time to focus on my Fall sewing plans.   Our weather here is quite warm until at least January so these sewing projects are all geared toward year-round wear. I kept my silhouettes pretty simple since I want to try out some new sewing techniques as well as natural dyeing with each look.  You can check out …
