Today I’m back with a quick & easy make- this teal cropped fitted tee. This is my first try using Kwik Sew 487, a Vintage pattern I was gifted. View B is drafted specifically for Rib Knits so I thought I’d give it a go with this pretty teal knit. I love this shade of aqua, plus the fabric is so silky and soft.
I did alter this pattern and added on my own sleeve draft. I had a pale blue crop tee on my style mood board for Spring 2023 and I thought this would make a cute versatile top with that look. I like that silhouette of a fitted tee that hits at the waist with a flared midi skirt.
I really like the shape of this fitted tank though it is a bit more snug than I’d prefer. I will increase the seam allowances on my next make. I always find rib knits a bit tricky to work with since they have so much stretch. My makes usually end up to large so I was excited that this pattern is designed for rib knits.
I’m wearing it here with my pecan knit skirt Burda 116 that you can see here. I just love this color combo of blue and tan. I’m so glad I took these pictures on our vacation up to Cocoa beach- the giant cactus makes for such fun pics. It so much easier to take great pics when you have a really pretty backdrop!
