I just shared my May Makes video last week over on YT and finally got all my photos taken! Time to share some recent sewing makes! This is the Zoey Tank by True Bias worn with my Tula Linen Pant from Papercut Patterns.
This is one of my favorite recent makes. The pants aren’t perfect but I love the silhouette! The tank is the Zoey by True Bias in the leftover pecan ponte from my Burda 116 Midi Skirt. Bonus- I can wear the two pieces together to look like a dress! This was my first go at the pattern so it’s not perfect. I left off the v-shaped neck and left it as is since this fabric was fussy.
The shape and color is just perfect. I really didn’t think this color worked for me but after I worked on my colors and tried it on I was shocked how good it looks! My new chic haircut makes the look!

Our AC broke a few days ago so I’m trying to take it easy in the heat this week. At least it’s early summer. The new unit is being installed today! I think we’d be staying in a hotel if it lasted any longer! The kids are enjoying a very relaxed summer. Teenagers sure can sleep! Whereas I’m up at 6am every morning!
Pattern & Fabric Details

Zoey Tank Top True Bias
Size 8
The Zoey pattern is a fitted knit tank top and dress. All views have a soft front V and low scooped back neckline. Armholes and necklines are finished with 5/8” wide bands. Views A and B are tank tops where View A has a cropped length hitting around the natural waist and View B ends around the hipline. View C is a fit and flare tank dress with a center front and back seam for extra shaping and the hem ending a few inches above the ankle.

Tula Pant- Papercut Patterns
Size 4
The perfect everyday pant for trans-seasonal wear. The Tula Pant, inspired by our Anima but even more versatile, has an elasticated waistband with an option to add a drawstring, side pockets and ankle cuffs. Choose between a wide or peg leg fit. Wear them long as cosy trackies, everyday casuals, a little dressy for those special occasions, or even secret pyjamas. Don’t forget that short and sweet option too! Your options are almost endless with these pants of your dreams.

Pecan Ponte Knit
this colorway is Out of Stock but she has some other lovely colors left, including the mint colorway I also have.

Lady McElroy – Cruise Washed Linen – Pebble
This medium-weight linen has a beautifully polished hand created using an enzyme wash. Enzyme washes use natural cellulose enzymes to create softness and a more worn-in look. This fabric has a slubby texture and is mostly opaque. You may prefer a lining depending on the garment. It would be great sewn into tops, dresses, skirts, accessories, and more.
Content: 100% linen
Width: 55″
Weight: 6.64 oz per square yard / 225 GSM
Designer: Lady McElroy
Before Alterations MMM:

The pant was made early in the month but I wasn’t loving the waistband. It was just too bulky. I’ve found I really don’t like a gathered waist. I much prefer a fitted look and smooth flat waistband. Lesson learned.
I did love the faux fly but it had to go with the alterations. I took in all the seams to make it fitted and then added a narrow waistband since I didn’t have much fabric left. It works just fine. Maybe not the prettiest in closeups- but it looks good on and that’s what matters!
Side & Back Views:

The pockets are great! I’m going to use this finish on other pants. Clean finish and they stay flat. Just that made it worth buying this pattern.

Here you can see a closeup of the pocket. Worn here with the Coppelia Cardi which I’ll be sharing in a future post. Stay tuned.
I did order more of this cruise washed linen so I can make a trouser more my style. Wide leg and flat faced waistband. But The shape of these pants is really lovely and the instructions were really good! Just not my style. Of course I will still wear these. Once I make the new pair I think I’ll crop these. We will see!

My Summer Plans Video will be up this weekend- releasing Saturday. I’ll be publishing the accompanying blog post for that too!
I’ve been feeling super inspired lately to create content! I have a bunch of scripts ready to film and at least 5 blog posts ready to go. So I hope you’re enjoying them! Plus I’ve been sewing like crazy! Feeling so creatively motivated lately … and I’m going with it.

Happy Sewing!
